One of the most popular and commercial beaches of Kerala – Varkala is located at a distance of 50 Km from Thiruvananthapuram. Varkala beach opens up as one descends down a beautiful cliff that stands parallel to it. Varkala beach is close to other beaches such as Papanasam beach. Many other interesting places with mythological and historical significance lie along the shore of Varaka. Sivagiri Mutt, Janardhana Swamy temple, Anjengo and its British Fort are some of the chief attractions here.

Kanwatheertha Beach

Being one of the most popular beaches of Kerala, Kanwatheertha Beach offers an extremely close experience of the state’s rich culture. The cool breeze and clear water makes the beach look like a huge swimming pool. Located at about 30 Km from Kasargod, Karwatheertha beach is easily accessible from all major cities of Kerala. Beautiful sunset at Karwatheertha makes it an excellent picnic spot.

Alappuzha Beach

Kappil Beach

Kozhikode Beach

Kozhikode has been a prominent trade centre from the time Vasco Da Gama set foot on it. The water aquarium and Lions Park for children (No real lions here) are some of the main nearby tourist attractions. The pristine beach offers the sight off beautiful sunsets.
