 Encourage a Responsible Holi

All the below-mentioned incidents define the way how people in this era celebrate the holy festival – “Holi”. This article intends to be cautious, vigilant and aware before any mishaps take place.

The hue and cry of a 16-year teen wasn’t enough for the police to a lodge a complaint on a bunch of teenagers who took Holi as an opportunity to tease her by pelting water balloons. Even though she claimed that the gang tried to touch her by rubbing colors, the youngsters could just wipe off the statement by saying “Bura Na Maano. Holi Hai”.

Prakash, a 14-year-old hyper active kid, was helpless for a while after he got affected by skin allergy when he was rubbed with artificial colors containing a high proportion of chemicals by his friends. They claim the reason for getting such substandard colors was the low price. Isn’t the result too costly?

Totally drenched in colors, Raju went running along the road to spear some water balloons at his friends. He was so out of senses that he just wanted to play Holi with them and bothered no other world. Not even the lorry that dashed him a couple of seconds later.

Even though Holi was nowhere related to alcohol intake, a medium class graduate who has just finished Holi celebrations with a beverage party was on his bike moving back to his home. Being in a super unconscious state, he could just manage to hit a pole on the highway and deliver his soul to heaven.

The mob on the day of Holi was so high, that the political rowdies took advantage of it by intentionally getting dipped in colors and instigating violence in the crowd. The smart opportunists used this situation to create chaos in the state by pushing the blame on to the opposition parties. However, the count of innocent deaths got blurred amidst the petty arguments and statements made by the parties on each other.

Since ages, it has been so traditional and just for decades, the festive charm has been deteriorating. The reason for it is the irresponsible way of celebrating it. Had we known our responsibilities to stay conscious, to avoid excessive intake of alcohol, to use natural colors, to serve the society and to respect women, the Holi would have been a much more sensible festival.

Let us be more responsible. Let us remind people their responsibilities.

Let us celebrate a responsible HOLI.
