The event is open to poetry in all forms, languages and themes. - The second hour of the gathering is where we explore forms, eras or themes in poetry. At the March gathering, we will be exploring 'Free Verse' poetry. Date: 31st March 2018, Saturday Timings: 4 pm to 6 pm Venue: Cubbon Park Those sharing poems in languages other than English or Hindi, please bring a summary or a translation of the poem in either English or Hindi. Please bring a mat or sheet to sit on. Contribution: There is no registration required or participation fee for the event. We have a coffee break during the event and you may contribute by bringing along a snack to share with others. Directions to the Meeting Spot at Cubbon Park: If entering the park from the M.G. Road entrance across Jewels De Paragon: • Go past the Queen Victoria statue and take the first right. • Head straight till you reach the end of the road, where you should see the King Edward statue and then the Press Club. To your left, you should see a gazebo. We usually sit under a tree somewhere near the gazebo. • There is parking space at this end of the park, so you can drive right up to the meeting spot. If you are coming via the Metro, get off at the Cubbon Park Metro station. Enter the park through the gate closest to the Metro station. You should see the King Edward Statue on your right. You can also use 'the Press Club of Bangalore' and 'King Edward VII Statue' as landmarks on Google Maps. If you have any trouble finding the spot, contact Lyn Coutto at 9880176926.
